So, for those who didn't get it from Nik's post on Tuesday, I am HALF WAY DONE with my treatments. And if I don't get excited about that, I might just curl up in a ball and suck my thumb til the end of October.
I found your blog from my friend Selkie (you know her as Annie... I think? I worked with her at Brighton Girls camp oh... 7 years ago!) Anyway, I came to your blog a few weeks ago because I was going though the whole ct scan/biopsy stuff and I remembered that she had mentioned that a friend of her's had cancer. So I thought, "huh, I wonder what kind of cancer her friend has..." So I read through your blog to the beginning and went over to your other blog and when I read that you had found a few lumps above your collar bone I about died. That's the same thing that I was having checked out... and I had been trying to tell myself that it was just a cyst. That's the night that I realized that the chances of my having cancer were extremely real. I think that it was a huge blessing for me to find your blog. It gave me a little time to research and digest what could be coming in my life. I got my official diagnosis on Friday, Hodgkin's. Sometime soon I'll have a scan done for staging and meet with the cancer doc. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I'm glad to see that you are doing so well! That gives me a lot of hope. I'm sorry that I'm going to be going through this!!! But I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your story online. I really really needed some prep for this and I'm glad that I felt prompted to read through your blog. I wish you the very very best!
