The Results are In....

Hodgkin's.

Which is what I wanted I guess. Except that it is cancer. That sucks. I was really hoping that there was some small chance it was something else. Something not treated with Chemo. Oh well. Dealing with it. I have an appointment with the oncologist next Thursday. I am starting to get a little freaked out.

  1. I have nothing wonderful and profound to say. Just know that you are STILL in my prayers. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I am freaking out with you. I'm sure it's nice to at least know exactly what it is. And hopefully your road to recovery will not be too long. :)

  12. Lena, I'm glad you at least have a diagnosis. I don't know much about Hodgkins, I'll have to look it up. I freak out anytime the word "cancer" is involved, but I do know that the tests and treatments out there are SO much better these days, and it's good to know you caught it fast. You and Nik are still in our prayers. We love you guys!

  14. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't, I guess. At least Hodgkin's is highly treatable. Don't get me wrong, it still sucks that you have cancer, but at least it's a highly treatable form. Let me know if there's anything I can do, I even like wig shopping. :)

  15. I am glad it is the better of the two. Please let us know if we can do anything for you...even if it just to lend an ear.

  16. Well if you must have cancer, and I wish you didn't, you couldn't ask for a better kind, with a 90% survival rate and a 90-95% remission success rate. Also if you are going through Intermountain for your treatment, you're in really good hands. I personally know the pathologists that handle these cases and they are really good, wonderful people. Russ and I will be praying for Nik and you as will the rest of the family. Even though we are in Texas, let me know if there is anything that we can do for you.
